Mac CD burning programs?

So I need to get a decent CD burning program for my mac (an ibook). I record a lot of stuff on my pro tools rig and I need to be able to do a couple CDs of various projects.

I don't need super quality (I have 2 Sequoia rigs for that), but I do need to be able to drop in a 24 bit file, put in a few PQ marks and then burn a disc.

Bought a copy of Peak LE and I'm really not impressed. Do I upgrade to the full version of Peak or do I look at something else (ie PM CD by Sonic, or something else....)

You can use the built-in itunes or Roxio's toast or Jam.

You're saying "drop a 24 bit file", so I'm assuming you mean to dither, not truncate?

Toast has a proprietary dithering algorithm (which I don't like) and can't do PQ, but you could get Toast with Jam http://www.sonic.com/products/Consumer/ToastJam/

I like Toast, but only for making data.

iTunes can't make PQ, so that's out.

If you're not satisfied with Bias Peak, then: WaveBurner Pro. Today you can only get it as part of the Logic Pro package, so maybe it's too expensive for your purpose.

I recently saw an ad for another mastering program on OS X, can't remember the name right now, think it was $400. Anybody?

if you own Logic Pro there's

Waveburner in the Box. It's great simple . . .

Or a another small App like Peak DSP-Quattro ( http://dsp-quattro.com )

I also use Jam, Toast, Peak, Waveburner, DSP-Quattro . . . but my Favorite one is:

Waveburner . . . .

Well, I have Peak LE here, not the full version. This version is full of issues, but it only cost me about $70. I guess it was too good to be true. No, I take that back, it was useless. A bit of PQ can be done, but it doesn't dither, etc... Add to that that half the CDs I burn can't be read in a CD player as the data is corrupt. (last one came up as 67 min long, but it was only 38- the last track didn't play at all)

My question is the full version of Peak worth it? But for that amount of money, do I get something else or is there another program I should check out? I really don't need anything that fancy, but I do need to be able to control where tracks and spacings are easily. Also, it needs to be able to take in a dual-mono file that was recorded into PT.

I can really relate to this thread...as a long time Samplitude user I'm so spoiled by the power of the integrated CD burning. It is soooooooo simple and flexible. I wish PT could do what Samplitude could do...
