Haven't seen any accounts on the quality of processing for one of these cards. So, how much can they handle and how many plugs can you run simultaneously?

I'm very curious to know as I've been straining my G5 recently by running at least two plugs for every track (eq and comp to begin with). I need some serious processing power to deal with my mixing habits.

Thanks, but the chart says nothing of how many simultaneous instances of a plug can be run. That is what I am interested in.

Duh.... thanks

So just for some quick math, I could run say, 10 LA-2A's and 14 1176SE's (mono) on one card? Or approximately 6 EQP1-A's and 6 Fairchilds (again mono) before maxing out?

Just getting and idea for how much functionality would be added.

It maybe of interest to you that when an audio track is frozen with the UAD card the resources are released on the card unlike the Tc powercore.

Yea!

Switching of a plugin releases DSP as well. Most of the Plugins (like the Cambridge) release DSP when you disable some of the frequency bands.

UAD DSP handling is great, much better than PoCo.

Multiple UADS will give you one "big DSP".

It seems to be a little depending on the DAW how far you can push the DSPs, i can push to 99% (have 3UADs in a Magma, connected to a Tyan S2895). I heard about people who have to deal with crackle and CPU spikes above 80% or so.
