Spectrum analyzer plugins for Cubase?

The spectrum analyzer function on my Cubase isn't working and the multiscope doesn't change it's output readings when tweaking the EQ.
I'm hoping to find one that will.
I tried downloading span but I'm not sure where to put the DLL.

Help?

I use Nuendo, but it should be the same.

Put the span.dll file in program files/steinberg/vstplugins

Span works wonderfully.

Cubase 7 now comes with a very useful SA embedded in the channel strip. MUCH better integrated with EQ than any third-party SA. Incidentally, it's made by Voxengo.

I tried installing fab filter but must have done something wrong because I can't find it on Cubase anywhere.

Grr, with 64 bit Windows you end up with no less than 4 folders on your HDD called VSTplugins.
How the feck is anyone supposed to know where to put the dll.
