I need a great bass and a great drum plug in?

Two of the sounds I have not enough of are bass and drums. I prefer natural sounding drums and drum loops like those in the Apple Loop browser. Unfortunatley there is not enough to pick from. There are many techno/digital sounding drums and basses but the natural kits and loops are what I like.

As far as basses go, same thing, I like natural electric and acoustic and fretless basses. I have Jam Packs "Rhythm Section" but there simply is not enough choices of real bass and drums.

Any ideas on the best plug ins for bass and drums?

I recommend Trilogy from Spectrasonics for bass, can't go wrong with that one. It does have a fair amount of synth basses too though.

For drums you could go the sample cd way, or get a plug-in like DFH (Drumkit From Hell).

BFD from FXpansion is another good one for drums. Pretty realistic.

Thumbs up

Your best bet for Bass Samples (ie Acoustic Basses) is Yellow Tools Majestic. This is by far the most comprehensive and expressive instrument that I am aware of for Bass sounds. For Drums i would look at Stylus RMX if your looking for more synthetic stuff, or DFH or BFD if your looking for that realistic kit sound. For Percussion sounds I am very fond of Yellow Tools Culture. However if your gonna use the Yellow Tools Libraries it makes sense to get Independence (their sampler) to run them in, because this is an improved interface over thier Stock MVI instruments. Good Luck.
