Question MOTU 828 mk2 + 2408 mk2

DOes anyone know if can use a 2408 mk2 with my 828 mk2 to get more analog outs?
I'm using Logic Pro 7.2 on a dual 1.8 G5.
Thanks , joe.

I don't think so, it uses audiowire and the 828 uses fire wire, I think its a different standard or something. I think the answer is on motu.com. I just got an Ultralite and it sounds great and in the manual it mentions that you can run all of the firewire interfaces, but you must run the original 828 last in the chain!

Yes you can if you have a MOTU 424 PCI card running the 2408 and the 828 running on firewire. I just completed a recording running a 2408 and 1224 on the PCI card and two 828s via Firewire. All inputs and outputs worked perfectly.
