Thread Starter | Help - I've deleted my root user, any ideas?
Well, classic, little tidying up goes wrong. I wanted to delete some user accounts, so went into Netinfo, and pressed delete. Unfortunately, immediately above 'untitled' which I was trying to delete was root, and guess which one I deleted! If I go into terminal, most of the files are now owner by userid of 0, so I can't change the permissions, and netinfo continually complains that there is no root owner of the / domain. I've searched everywhere, tried everything - looks like I'll have to re-install os X. Any ideas before do this (apart from concentrate next time!) I AM AN IDIOT! Pete |
