Gobbler and Avid to join forces

It looks like Avid and Gobbler have announced a partnership add file sharing and backup capabilities to Pro Tools. Would any current or former Gobbler users on here care to share their experiences?

They needed a replacement for Digidelivery. Why not?

It works. What more can we say? I also use SkyDrive and Adrive and I have a personal cloud. The folks from Gobbler are pretty nice, I beta tested the product and communications were good.

I also beta test for gobbler. The only thing that stops me using it more is limited amounts of data transfer from my end. The product itself is great.

Service seems very nice but it's very new in the market and the CEO describes himself as a "serial entrepeneur" meaning if the VC cash doesn't run out first he hopes to get Gobbler popular enough... to sell. Use it while it lasts.

Skira, I would imagine that Avid licensing code or forming a partnership with Gobbler would lend a great deal of credibility to Gobbler. Perhaps Avid would be the eventual buyer, who knows? Although if that's the case, get ready for the prices to go up
