Mic sounds different compared to whats actually recorded?
Hello. I'm lost here. I have a Rode K2 with an Amperex Bugle Boy hooked to my Saffire Pro 24 DSP. I use FL Studio. The Saffire Pro 24 DSP uses the Saffire Mix Control.
Now,... when I talk into my mic with just the Saffire Mix Control open I can barely hear myself. But the input meters are showing a strong input signal. When I open FL Studio and set it up to receive input from my mic, I sound a lot louder. It's great. BUT,... it sounds like there's something more being added to the signal. Like reverb or something. When I record my voice via Fl Studio and listen to it,... it's just my voice. It sounds perfect. Just my voice. But talking into the mic and listening to that sounds very much different. I am concerned with this because when it comes time to add effects it might throw me off some. I don't know if it is FL Studio or the Saffire Mix control? Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?!?!?
Thanks in advance.
