How do Install Pro Tools 8 on my new Macbook Pro?
I don't seem to have my PT 7.x installer discs anymore, and I know PT 8 was an upgrade from 7.x...

Has anyone done this? I literally just purchased a new MBP so I'm running Mountain Lion.

Any advice appreciated - I'm sure I'll go to PT 10 eventually but I'd like to stagger my investments here a little bit.

Does 8 work with mountain lion?

From what I can tell it's not "supported" but definitely works to some degree.

I looked in there and all I saw was a PT LE 7.4 upgrade..

Hi there, I got the same situation as you! I just bought a new MBP and I updated to mountain lion! I have installed PT8.0.5! I tried to open a session, it was working fine in the first 15mins! After 15 mins all I hear is distortion audio! Then I quit the PT!! And relaunch ! It freeze when loading into PT!
I have tried restart the Mac ! It could run the first time after I restart my Mac! Then the problem come up again!
Do you have this problem as mine????
