Komplete 8 Ultimate

I'm running Reaper as my DAW, and I don't want to hear about using a different daw or getting protools. I want to get something that is packed full of virtual instruments and synths. I already have drum software, and a good auto tune, mastering, and drum plugin. I was wondering if komplete is worth it? Is there something cheaper that would have better instruments in it? Budget isn't a huge concern. With reaper not having any vst, I'm just looking for a bundle full of great instruments.

+1 on Komplete 8 Ultimate. It is the best bundle out there hands down as far as diversity goes. Has a little bit of everything and a lot of bit of quite a few things. Anything from sample based instruments to crazy synths to virtual guitar amps to analogue modeled EQs and Compressors.

Komplete is a great start. Ultimate is the best since all of the installers are on a HDD and not on multiple DVD's.

+1 for Komplete or Ultimate, I have Ultimate, and haven't even scratched the surface on all it provides. It is HUGE though, you will need at least around 250+ gigs on a drive to install it, and then you have to downlad the "60's Studio Drummer" updates etc if you want them at around 7gb apiece, but they seem to be worth it in the last week or so I have been messing with them. Between the decent sounding pianos, the retro synths, massive (and yes, it is good for things outside of dub step), Kontakt 5 etc... the compressors (which these unfortunately still have to be run in the Guit Rig5 shell), Guitar Rig 5 itself (and using it for pretty much more then anything OTHER then guitars,,) it is great. I don't see myself using the George Duke stuff, as it's not in my wheelhouse, but probably great for others, and I did mess with it and found some fun stuff with it...) .. But for one stop shopping, you really could do a lot worse, there is a lot of value in it. Perhaps Ultimate 9 is just around the corner, but I believe if you buy it in the 3 month window of release usually NI is pretty cool about that stuff.

Yea the George duke stuff work great for hip hop and rnb.

I'm sure you the solid mix stuff is inside of kontakt too,I didn't see the dbx 160 in kontakt though.
