just dropped I think, so far it looks pretty decent, nice phrase library but I think the market is just about oversaturated with these now, not to say that the product doesn't sound great in the demo.

NI is working towards making komplete 9 look necessary.

I think action strings sound amazing, there's more to come.for $399 updating to k9 will pay for action strings, plus their new $299 tube bundle and more.

yup just about sums it up, that tube bundle I hear is really good. Combine that with "The Grand" and that percussion library from Heavocity and K9 is looking very nice indeed.

I bought it last weekend am quite impressed. Main reason I bought it was that the sounds are definitely more powerful than the Session Strings I have been using so far. Very well suited for film soundtracks. And there is a huge selection of phrases that can be played in all keys.

Criticism is the steep price: similarly to Damage it is way too overprized so. Also the options to modify reverb or sounds of a particular phrase are limited.

But in general I am happy with it and am planning to use it quite a bit (especially min conjunction with Damage).

If you mean Damage,I was told by a person from NI that Damage will not be part of K9U,I guess we'll see.
He did mention there'd be a new
Horn /Horn section library that he was raving about though. ;-)

Awww man that is good and bad news. I have been dying dying dying for NI to release a brass library, I hope it is good but I am also sad that Damage will not be in there, the library looked very promising, thanks for the info. Did they drop any info as to the release date?

Very nice! Would I buy it at the regular price? Probably not,I'm a cheap bastard! lol
But at the sale price it's a great addition to the arsenal, the library is very well done.
