Skype + Saffire24 Pro & 2 Mics?

Looking for a little recording help..

We've got a podcast that we run using two mics locally, and skype for our call-in guests. The mics are attached to a Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 DSP / firewire on OSX, and the show is recorded with Audition.

Audition records all the channels just fine, but skype only picks up Mic 1 from the saffire; is there any way to mix the two mic channels together and send the output to skype's input? I can't think of any other way to get this to work, short of buying different hardware/an external mixer.

Thanks for any help!

Bump.

I'd like to send my DAW output (Reason) into Skype; I would send the live vocal mic through a DAW channel so the listener (on Skype) could hear my DAW tracks and voice.

The Skype control panel has an option for the Saffire driver but the only channel I can get to work is Channel One (and that is direct to Skype rather than through DAW).

I'm experimenting (with Saffire loopback) but if anyone has a fix for this it'd be much appreciated. Thank you.

Youre best bet is to use a mixer and send both mics into the channel skype pics up. Id imagine skype looks at the saffire like a sound card and thats why it just uses the first imput it sees. There could be a better way but I dont know it.

You could probably do this with SoundFlower, but it confuses the hell out of me so I can't really help you out there. Every time I've used it, I've gotten it to work but it took a lot of fiddling around with routing and changing inputs and outputs in preferences.

Thanks, much appreciated - I've routed via the mixer for now and it's working perfectly.

I ran DAW 1/2 from Saffire outputs 3/4 into my mixer; then 2 channels (L/R) from the mixer to the front inputs on the Saffire.

In the Saffire software mixer I linked Input Channels 1 & 2 and sent DAW 1/2 to outputs 3/4; in the router I enabled Analogue Inputs (1 & 2) to the S/PDIF channels (my monitors) and turned the mix fader down. I saved this as a preset.
