Tablet as laptop replacment.

Was thinking about one of the win8 tablets to use for dj sets using some usb'js with built in sound card.

Some of them have 1.7ghz to 2.6ghz scaling i5's in them and a few gb of ram, would this work? would be nice to have this vertically and not have to worry so much about drinks going in a laptop and a bit more portable too.

Will it be fast enough to run virtualdj or tracktor though? that is my main question!

It doesn't take much power to run 2 tracks of audio, so I would think that anything would work. I don't see the advantage of a tablet over a laptop (or in this case, even a winbook) because a tablet would have to lay flat on a surface, and because anyone nearby could touch the surface, and what would they activate, stop, or whatever? Plus you're either looking down, holding the tablet up, or... it just seems awkward to me. But no reason why it shouldn't be able to do the job.

but would you trust it in a club to support your livelihood? I've been trying to think of some sort of a tablet support that I would trust in that situation, and I'd probably have to build it into something. But maybe I'm just being extra cautious.
