Not really ,but it depends!

I have the emulator X3 its a 12 gig vintage x bank that you only can find on eBay now.

That bank has the best ep's IMHO,but acoustic pianos and strings are better from native instruments.

The virtuoso bank for emulator X3 has some great strings.

Or try the ikmultimedia bundle, its not bad.

Easily there is much better out there. Much more expensive though. We do a lot of scoring here. This is just my opinion but I've never been impressed with anything from NI. Lifeless is how I describe most of the sounds. Others love them. We have had all versions of Komplete here. It hardly ever gets used.

Just experience Ivory, Vienna, LASS, Hollywood, Symphobia, and a whole bunch of the other libraries out here.

This thread is about NI sounds, not kontakt players. We don't use NI sounds. Try and keep up

Interesting thoughts and comments I appreciate it, how about I simplify it.....

Pick ONE choice for each instrument/sound from ANY Software Company

STRINGS
ELECTRIC PIANO (FENDER Rhodes/Wurlitzer)
ORGAN
PIANO (rock/pop think Muse, Queen etc)
SYNTH SOUNDS

I'm sure this will get sidetracked haha but appreciate the feedback!!

For acoustic pianos synthogy ivorys are truly truly good....for rhodes, wurli and clavs (and I think hammonds too) NI are the best in the market, IMHO of course....for strings with VSL you can't go wrong

STRINGS: NI session strings pro for stings in songs (IE not scoring or classical)

ELECTRIC PIANO (FENDER Rhodes/Wurlitzer) neo soul keys or scarbee

ORGAN NI vintage organs is good or VB3.

PIANO (rock/pop think Muse, Queen etc) 8DIO 1928 scoring piano.

SYNTH SOUNDS lots of options here. I would go with Omnisphere and FF Twin.

It's hard to say best because sometimes one thing will work better than another, but that would be my list of go-to stuff.

STRINGS-no comment. I just feel that is too open. What kind of strings?

ELECTRIC PIANO-NI Komplete. At least its good enough for me. I'm probably not very critical when it comes to this category. By the way, my favorite for the Yamaha CP70 is Hollowsuns Definitive CP70.
CP70 Electric Grand
As a matter of fact the other electric pianos might be superior to NI's offerings, but I haven't heard them. I'm very impressed by Hollowsuns CP-70 and the Fairlight and Emulator packages.

ORGAN- Happy with NI's B-4...discontinued.

PIANO-Sampletekk Seven Seas Grand Yamaha C7
(Anyone want to buy my Ivory Piano software?)
Virtual Silver

SYNTH SOUNDS- NI Komplete which includes Reaktor where you can get lost in a world of new sounds depending on priorities of maintaining a social life.

STRINGS: VSL Dimension Strings (when they get fully released - if needed NOW, VSL Chamber Strings)
ELECTRIC PIANO - Don't use EP, I got ep sounds on my dp.
ORGAN - Don't use it. But if I do, most likely VSL Konzerthaus :P
PIANO: SampleTekk/PMI The Old Lady (lusting for a bosendorfer though)
SYNTH SOUNDS: Zebra 2
