Question VST phase/polarity reverse plugin for PC?

Can anybody out there point me towards one?

It'd be really hip if that's all it did, rather then being attached to some other function like an EQ or whatever.

It'd be even hipper if it were free!!!

Thanks much!

that would be dynomite in a VST
how simple could that be.
something where you can change the phase
angle 0-180 deg. 180-360 deg
I wonder if you could change the phase
to 50 deg on one channel 70 deg. on another
in my head it seems imposible.
or can you only 180 the phase angle.
any body know?

is that what you need?

this one is free:

http://www.tritonedigital.com/produc...e86be4be80139b

you'll need also pluggo runtime i believe to run the tritone one. links should be on the tritone-site.

Kinda...that's actually WAY more complicated then what I'm looking for! LOL

All I need is a simple 0/180 flop that I can insert on a channel.

I just got a record to mix that has top & bottom snare mics and they're outta phase with each other! After scoping out the first few tunes ITB I know I'm gonna want the bottom snare mic in the mix (so it sounds like a snare & not a timbale!) & I don't want to burn a channel on the console just to flip the polarity of the one track when I get around to mixing this one in another week or two.

I have a direct X phase reverse plug...but SX3 doesn't support direct X!

Hmmm...

Jay!

SX3 has a polarity reverse button on every channel right at the top next to the trim knob. You don't need a plugin to do this.

If you´re talking about Cubase SX3:

- it supports direct x (like defjamm said)
- it has a phase reverse button on each channel strip
- you can reverse the phase by processing your snare bottom file offline

Or did we get you wrong?

Really?!?

There's a phase reverse button right on the mixer?!?!?!

DAMN!!!!

I've been using it for almost a year and I didn't know that!

Maybe I should get one of those 'power user' books for SX3 so I can figure out all the cool tricks...

Still, for whatever my (small) collection of Direct X plugs aren't showing up in the plug-in list. They are coming up in Sound Forge though...

I'll have to check both of those out when I get back to the room on Monday!

Thanks!!!

Geez...I'm all freakin' happy now! LOL

And yeah, I realize I could process the bottom snare off-line in Sound Forge but that's a pain in the butt! Plus it'd be so much handier to have a polarity switch like there is on the console because I check almost everything that isn't a mono track.

Thanks again!

The plugin-list... do you mean the one that shows up when you click on
the channel inserts? Or the one that actually manages the plugins?

In case they don´t show up in the first list, you have to go to the
second list . There you can manage all the plugins. Just checkbox all
your direct x plugins.
In case they don´t show up in the plugin management list, then you should
take a look at your folders (meaning where you installed your sequencers
and plugins/dll´s).

Jay,

You don't have to use Sound Forge to do an offline phase reversal. Select your audio track, right click, choose Process, and then Phase Reverse. Voila.

I suggest reading the Cubase online help...Getting Stared. :) It's such a nifty program--it even has rewind and fast forward transport buttons. Sorry--couldn't resist.

Brad
I KNOW!!!

It can even like, record stuff too!!! Imagine that! LMAO

I've been using SX3 as a giant tape machine & submixer since I got it, I know I've barely scratched the surface of what I can do with it...that should be pretty obvious! LOL

Anyway, I found this plug while searching around. Haven't tried it OR the phase flip in SX3 yet since I haven't gotten back to the shop yet.
