SSDs what's everybody using?

Looking at possibly getting for a new SSD for my system disk

At the moment I'm using a OCZ Vertex 2 but I've had a few startup issues with it and it's a few years old now. I'm wondering what new stuff is worth looking at and what advances there have been in the technology.

What's everybody using and would you reccomend it?

ps. I will try and keep this post updated with the list so everyone can see at a glance whats decent, see below:

3 Crucial m4
2 Samsung 830 series
Intel 330
Intel 520
OCZ Vertex 3
OCZ Vertex 4

Been using the intel 520 series since March !!

No problems at all !!!!! Superb !

Just brought another one and will load it up ready to go, just in case lol !!!

No brainer for under a 100 pounds - 128gb as a system drive.

A couple of crucial M4 128GB working great ~ 1 year, and 6 months.
One OCZ Vertex 3 128GB working great ~1.5 year.
One OCZ Vertex 4 256GB working super great ~6 month.

I used to recommend M4, but now, I can recommend Vertex 4 (only from the experience for 6 months).

By the way, if you had a startup issue with SSDs, try disabling write cache from the manage menu. When I push restart button, SSDs sometime failt to load boot sectors. I think the write cache is the culprit, because I disable it, and since then I don't have such problems.

Just got a Samsung 830 256GB and it seems to be fast and stable. Samsung has a rock solid and probably the most reliable record of SSD. Plus they make all the parts themselves, which leads to it's stability.

A couple of months ago I purchased my first SSD which is Intel's 330 120 Gb. I have been very pleased with it so far! It has a sandforce which is a plus!

another vote for the Samsung 830 series. I had another brand crash hard on me, and found others had similar issues. Have 6 samsung SSD's in various machines and so far so good over the last year. Go at least 128gb to get the faster write speeds.

2012 MBP w/ 8 GB RAM.

I swapped in (fairly easy mod):

OWC 240 GB Mercury Electra 6G for main drive
OWC 60 GB Mercury Electra 6G for audio scratch drive (in the optical bay)

Screaming fast. Boots from cold (with lid closed) to being online (with Firefox) in 7 seconds.

Upgrading RAM to 16 GB next week.

17' MBP w/ 8 gig RAM

OWC 240gb Mercury Pro 3G for system drive
Used the original 750gb Seagate SATa drive for samples with the same optical bay mod as above. No issues for a year now.

Just bought a 256GB Samsung 830 Series for Hackintosh system. Just sourcing and collecting parts right now.

I recently upgraded the system drive in my 3.33 6-core Mac Pro. dug deep into reviews from many different sites and settled on:

Crucial m4 256gb SSD SATA 6gb/s

has treated me perfectly.
