Sound Quality of Ableton Live ?

I've been a live fanatic from version 2.0.3, It's wicked for arranging and mixing but recently I feel that some sounds are just not as crisp as they were when then went in. I know that Live "warps" audio but this issue I have been having with audio quality seems to be with ecorded audio and for vsti's like battery and I'm beginning to think that it may have something to do with the audio engine in live? I have PT M-powered on another PC and it just sounds phatter/crisper but I love Live for speed of editing. Should I be changing or is it ok to edit/arrange in live and mix in PT?

Use rewire and pipe 16 or more channels into Pro Tools and you can hear the difference. Live is great for fast workflow but sound still sucks, unfortunately.

Cheers Morris! Does this mean if I render out these parts individually and mix in protools I won't have this problem?
