24 bit to 16 bit sample lag?

Greetings I have been dumping a bunch fo 24 bit samples into soundforge to convert to 16 bit to put in my K2500R sampler. What I noticed today was that while the samples remain in the key (pitch), the timing is off. The sample seemed laggy, as though it had been slowed down, without the pitch (key/tone) being affected.

Could this be from the bit conversion, or is it more likely my K2500R sampler?

cheers
