Need advice for audio interface and routing for ezdrummer

I want to set up ezdrummer for live use with a set of v-drums. I want to be able to send four or five balanced outputs to the console (kick, snare, toms, overheads, maybe hi hat). If I understand correctly, ezdrummer presents eight channels to the user, so, for example, the overheads will have to mixed down to a single track.

I also want to be able to generate a headphone mix for monitoring (and doesn't affect those other outputs) that adds a separate stereo line-level source (balanced monitor feed).

I'm thinking that the Saffire Pro 24 or the M-Audio Fast Track Ultra will do the job, but I'd like to be sure. Do these fit the bill? Is there something better in the same price range ($300-$400)? Something cheaper that will get the job done, too?

Currently the v-drums are all that's there, so I'm flexible as far as interface, software, etc.

As long as your audio interface has something like RME's TotalMix, you should be able to route what you want where you want. TotalMix is a matrix mixer, so any input or playback channel can be sent to any output at any volume level in any output mix, allowing each output mix to be independent of each other. Check the options in the product you want to buy.
