Sorry, I don't know of anything other than the DualHead2Go. Unfortunately I can't recommend it without a word of caution. I use mine on my Macbook Pro on the thunderbolt port (display port screens) and I have many black screen moments. Sometimes they come back on, other times I have to unplug the cable, it's really quite annoying. Really looking forward to my soon to be new Mac Pro when I can ditch the Matrox. If you want a reliable 3 screen solution there is no way around a desktop I'm afraid.

Wow, that looks neat.
I was recently told by everyone in a computer gaming forum that you cannot run more than 2 monitors unless one of your outputs is Displayport. I.e. a video card with 3 VGA could only output 2 pictures, but a card with 2 VGA and 1 Display port could output 3 pictures.

I made sure to choose a certain card for my new PC because of this.

I wonder how this thing works? What on earth do you set on your laptop to be able to extend across 3 screens with only one cable plugged in?

You install a software by Matrox that takes care of it. You need 3 screens with identical resolution, though. But look at my earlier post, it's not a perfect solution (unfortunately).

Could be, but I doubt it. Since it's working most of the time it might have something to do with the power from the USB port (since that is the only option for powering the DH2Go).

I never really investigated it, because it will be a thing of the past for me soon.
