How to?? Syncing and settimg up interfaces. Music computers. NEED HELP PLEASE!!!!!
Ive been using Digital Performer with the MOTU 896 96kHz FireWire interface and my friend hooked me up with a computer that has Protools and gave me the digioo1 interface and said I can sync them together and it would give me 10 mic pre's, GREAT!!! I downloaded the proper divers for the motu, installed it on the new computer hooked up the optical cables and FireWire, turned everything on and this is where I'm totally lost and confused. The motu audio setup window came on the screen and I have no clue how to set it up???

Clock source says internal with options AES/EBU,word clock in, adat 9-pin, Adat optical, SMPTE and built in audio??? Which one??
Default stereo input and output has options analog 1-2 on both but gives options analog 3-4, 5-6 , 7-8 , ADAT 1-2 up to 7-8 and AES/EBU 1-2????
Optical input and output, ADAT or none. ????
Monitor input, analog 1-2 thru 7-8 AES/EBU 1-2
Analog 1 thru 8 and AES/EBU 1 and 2?????
Sample rate convert , none, AES in, AES out slave to AES in, and AES out 2x???
Programmable Meters, analog out, ADAT in , ADAT out???
Any help would be great I would really love to get up and running as soon as possible. I'm new on this site and not sure how to find replies to my post so if anyone could e-mail me there insight to how to set it up, it would be greatly appreciated. princeofpound@optonline.net
