Best way to transpose vocals?

Hi,

first excuse my insufficient English skills

I´m searching along but I can´t find a lot to this topic.

What is the best way to completely transpose vocals? I not meaning correction (If someone sing wrong or something) I want to transpose a Piano higher and fit the vocals on it cause the singer is not able to sing it so high accurately. (But the singer want it necessarily)
When I pitch the complete vocal notes in melodyne it sounds strange.

Thanks
Max
