How do I make plugins show up in Finder?

These files are hidden as a default. Some plugins don't show up where I expect them to, how do I track them down? I miss my old PC in times like these ;(

But is there a way to make them visible when you search in Finder or Spotlight? I just installed PSP's Vintage Meter but can't find it anywhere/doesn't show up in my DAW.

Check " get info " and see if it created an alias file and dumped the original directly in the trash.

Lion onwards hides the folder. Google how to make the library visible and all will be revealed. Literally.

Can be usefull, in the console type:
open /folder/to/open/
and it opens in the finder, even if it is hidden

I bought a Mac to not need to google those kind of hacks and tricks, but since I installed Mountain Lion I need to (eg to show ~/Library files). Time to go back to Windows.

Not really sure what you mean. Where do I check "get info". I don't know where the file is.

I'm on snow leopard. The folder isn't the problem, I want to be able to search for a specific plugin in spotlight or finder. There are some plugins that are not in the plugin folders.

you need to find the file to choose 'get info'. It's a right click menu option. It should be in Live's Browser and in Finder where I said. If it's not, and doesn't come up in a search, god knows. Try reinstalling it maybe?

Finding the file is the whole point. I don't know where it is. I've tried reinstalling four times. Just contacted PSP. I still would like to find out how to make all files visible in spotlight/finder.

Anyone?
