Audio to midi drums ?

Hi guys i have a question

here is the deal (sorry for bad english)
I want to record drums for a song.
Im using Reaper - Millenium MPS-600, E-Drum Mesh set - into Focusrite Scarlett 18i6.

I have 8 audio tracks..
kick
snare
hihat
3 toms
2 symbles.

The millenium sounds like..
so i want to replace milleniums audio samples with samples from superior drummer.
The only solution i could find was to use a trigger, but how do record the midi from a trigger so i can edit it in reapers midi editor ? so i actually can see what is going on and work on it ?
I dont want to record midi from the set because i find it very unstable, with 2.5 latency and drum rolls and all that. hope i made myself clear...
Hope someone can help me out here.
Have a nice day

Slate digital's Trigger has a feature that captures your audio and can covert them to midi notes. You just drag it out of the plugin and onto a midi track.

Also Toontrack has a plugin called Drumtracker that does the trick.

Too bad you cant record straight out of your kit though.

DRT is awesome but a ProTools only option. He's on Reaper.

Yeah use trigger. On the left of the plugin there's a rectangular button saying something with the word preset in it, then a musical note and an arrow and then a musical note and a X.

Play through the whole song and then click and drag from the musical note with the down arrow into a MIDI/Instrument track. Done

Drumogog
Slate trigger
Or use melodyne in percussion mode
And convert to midi notes.

Then use whatever drum samples you want.

Google for a You Tube video on how to do this. I viewed one a few days ago.
