Getting TINY pops from Wavelab rendering!

Using Wavelab version 6.10. Using Digi002 as audio driver. Been using wavelabs for a couple years now with no problem. I've just finished a master using the External Gear function for the first time. Worked amazing. But when I render and play back, all of a sudden I can hear these really tiny pops in the audio. So small the average listener would probably never hear it. But I really don't want to hand this to my client like that. I've done research and couldn't find any other issues or topics about it. I've jumped around with buffer/latency/delay comp settings and getting no progress. Please help!

Hmmm

Have u checked the sample rate in it?
Are u rendering in the same exact format u done the mastering?

Might be because of that...i used to have some pops when rendering the track in a different sample/bit rate from the soundcard.

Try doing it with the same proprieties from the soundcard...than just dither it in another session!

Let me know if it helped!

I haven't done any changes to the sample rate or bit size in the master. I always do it in a new session once everything is all good like you mentioned. I'm sure it's because of something from the external gear process. I've never had this problem until I started using the external gear. If I can record the DA of my playback it should work fine. Only thing is I don't know how I can do that with what I have. I might have enough gear to get it done. But I've never done something like that. Maybe i can use another interface I have here to record into pro tools? Wish I had a reel to reel right now lol.

While you're mastering (and playbacking) if aint got pops it isn't definitely an external gear issue.
Do you render/export it exactly with the same soundcard settings?
If you're working 32 bits, 96.000 khz...just render it that way too and do not apply any dither.

When using external gear a real-time render is a good way to avoid poping proplems. Are u doing any sort of offline mode rendering?

Another (but not so much obvious) option is to move the track you're working on to an external hd. Maybe your computer processor is reading and exporting to the same exact source. This one I do not believe so much...but you could go for a try on that.

Let me know if it helped!

Yes I'm using the same sound card settings during everything. No changes to sample rate or bit size. As for the type of rendering, I'm using the master section render window, which with external gear automatically uses real time rendering from my understanding. It just records the main monitored signal right? If that's true then I shouldn't have pops right? I'm going crazy! Lol. I don't see any option to change that anyway in wavelab.
