How do I clean the connectors on my audio interface?

I just spoke with a customer service rep at Mackie who tried helping me with my Onyx Satellite. After so many unreliable tries of recording with this piece of equipment, I can never trust it will work.

All we deduced was that maybe it needs to be cleaned. He said clean the connector pins between the Onyx Satellite and the Base Station (where the outer part of the audio interface connects to). He also mentioned to clean the input where the power supply plugs into.

What should I use to clean these, I wasn't entirely clear on this as I was talking to him on Skype. I don't have a lot of hope in regards to this working, but it's worth a try.

DeOxit is an excellent electrical contact cleaner, and has often solved connection issues for me.

That's what he said as well. I just looked up deOxit in China though. Some of the cheapest I found was $26 for a can.
