Good reverb plugin for pop background vocals

I'm struggling a little with my verb plugins. I'm doing some electro pop and I need a good verb for background vocals. A good reference for what I'm talking about is this song.

Listen to the "Shame on me" about a minute into the song. Also check out the chorus.

Britney Spears - I Wanna Go - YouTube

If anybody has experience producing these kind of vocals and want to share some tips feel free to chime in. Thanks in advance.

I can get a lot of pop and rock vocal verb with the EMT250 from UA. I use it all the time. Love it.

I'm using logic, so I'm using .au plugins. Anymore suggestions?

Is there a similar plugin to the EMT 250 that is native?

I would think there is. I'm in PT, so I don't know in Logic well.

Seems pretty basic to me. Put you choice of verb on an aux bus. Put an EQ before the verb and a compressor after the verb. Use a HPF from the EQ and filter around 300Hz out. Verb 100% wet and dial it in for what you want. Now compress the verb very lightly to thicken it up. I find this can help most plugs.

Here you go, another EMT250 plugin with AU support http://emptyroomsystems.com/empty-250-v2-05.html

Good to see there's a 250 sim for AU. I love it.

Good, but not as good as UAD emulation. Roland Dimension D is whole another story, UAD version really sucks compared to Emptyroomsystems

Yeah, it shouldn't be so hard...I just have a hard time finding a verb plugin that actually sounds good...

Can't believe no one has mentioned the Lexicon native stuff. They have a range of plug ins and if your budget is tight you can buy by the room/alg. Extremely good and you can't go wrong with those for what you're doing.

I have the lexicon plugins. I think they're OK, not amazing...I like the sound of the UAD EMT 250 plugin but I don't have a UAD card. :(

If you don't have UAD, then Lexicon Native. To my mind, minus the AD/DA and other on-board analogue quirkeries of the original hardware, sounds the same - and they at least claim that it is a 1:1 port, though, you might take that with a grain of salt - it's pretty close.

I don't have the 250 but i use the UAD !40 emulation in Logic. I'm fairly certain that Logic does not come with a plate verb.

Hey I forgot SSL X-Verb. I had a demo of it for a while but since I have a Bricasti I couldn't justify another spend on reverb - but if I had spare cash and I didn't like the Lexicon stuff or already had it and needed something else I would go for that, it had a great sound, very unique - kind of like the best of old and new and something very original about it. Very powerful yet intuitive interface. I loved it. It's on my future buy list.

The UAD stuff is some of my favorites. The 140 plate and EMT250 are excellent. The RE-201 gets used a lot too in my mixes.

Logic has all kinds of plate verbs in space designer.

http://www.apple.com/logicpro/plugins-and-sounds/#studio-effects

select a channel preset/vocals/backing or lead vocal
It will give you a starting point.
