Are there any other custom laptop options except ADK?

I was just wondering if there was anyone else besides ADK offering laptops where you can choose every component of the system?

I find it to be a very practical solution.

get a HP elite book, the bottom slides off and everything is replaceable. I just bought a base model 14 inch and replaced:

CPU: with a sandybridge i7 2.4 quad
RAM:16 gigs DDR3
Hand drives:replace standard drive with SSD and added 2nd drive in optical bay.

result: great small laptop with high res non glossy screen that packs a real punch, even the firewire seems to work well with my 816!!!!

Rain makes a nice laptop. The best thing about them is how quiet they are. ADK is great as well.

Nothing wrong with that, there are only a few laptop manufacturers anyway, Clevo builds a lot for other brands as well.

BTW:
"You cannot access our store from your country. We apologize for the inconvenience." Is this going to change? The EU is a big market...

I know ther is nothing wrong with them I use the same chassis it's the only option in the uk unless you import them your self.

Until I resolve a few issues like shipping outside the uk within the store software I will stick to just the uk. Also doing support outside the uk is a problem if the systems have to come back they can get damaged , lost ect and it costs a lot of money (from past experience).
One step at a time.
I allowed Germany access to the store but not to the checkout so you can have a look.

funny i ship worldwide without issue. and the funny thing is far less damage (almost none) that shipipng locally (US), support is a breeze. (remote software to take control) only trouble is time differences then again i have employess who will work from home at odd hours to address this..

You must have better customers than my last employer no matter how many times I asked them to make sure it's boxed well enough for transit customers would wrap them in a single sheet of bubble wrap or brown paper and string.

Laptops are not as much of an issue my main concerns are with towers and desktops that have large heat-sinks and a shock drop can do a lot of damage even when the heat-sinks uses a bolt secure system to hold them in place.
