I just tried the PSP Xenon. Sounds good, but not as good as the Elephant. Xenon has its moments; it seems to emphasize the mid's, and colors them with a nice distortion. But it kinda pumps the bass and makes the low end muddy. Too many artifacts when compared to Elephant.
I tried a bunch of limiters recently. Tonebooster's Barricade, and voxengo elephant could be pushed the furthest, but elephant keeps the bass way better. The barricade plugin sounds cold in comparison.

*The trick to a good clean loud master with FG-X is automating the ITP slider and LISTENING.
ty, I was wondering what the difference between Slate FG-X and Sonnonx Limiter would be. Sonnonx has always been my favorite, but I am looking for something bit more "new"

Bought and have been using the Pro-L for the last few weeks. Still love the
FGX, but once I got the hang of the Pro-L I found it to be cleaner and more
transparent than the FGX. 4x's oversampling on and dynamic setting, sounds
great.

DLed the demo today, have not put it down yet. Very nice Limiter, not too fond of the gui though.

Was able to push it higher than some stock limiters without the harsh artifacts. Going to compare it with Sonnox Limiter tonight. but so far, I am really impressed.

Not crazy about the gui, either, but love the way it sounds. The Sonnox sounds
like an MXR distortion plus when you push it.

yep I am - not really a mastering limiter though - more a bus compressor. I really like it - but use more as inserts on individual tracks

+1 on Pro L - trying out the demo now and getting extremely tempted - soundwise its on par with others like Elephant etc but the GUI & Controls are fantastic...

Yes and I think it is really nice.

But, while it does a lot things, it is not a limiter.

+100 on Pro-L
