| AudioFire4 issue
Hello,
I hope I'm in an appropriate forum for asking this... I'm not an audio guy at all, but I'm trying to get an AudioFire4 unit hooked up for someone.
I have a mic hooked through to an AudioFire4, and then Firewire hooked in to a brand new Lenovo T520 laptop.
All drivers have been updated. I can run the AudioFire4 mixer utility, and I'm seeing activity on the level readings when I produce sound into the mic.
However, if I open up Adobe Audition (which again, I know nothing about), I can get no sound to produce. I have the channel armed to record, and have the input set as the "Analog In 01" port from the AudioFire. However, there is no level activity at all. I've tried every other input option, for what it's worth.
This laptop does use a Ricoh firewire chipset, which I'm seeing on here can be an issue. However, it is strange to me that the F/W is obviously transmitting the signal from the AudioFire to the PC, since I can see activity on their own mixer app.
Any suggestions at all would be GREATLY appreciated. I apologize if I'm posting in an incorrect forum... this just seemed like where I'd have the best change for getting assistance.
(Also, if I go to the Windows 7 Control Panel, to the sound menu, and go to the recording input, I get no level activity on the AudioFire inputs on there either, on the green signal bar... if I change back to the internal PC mic, all is well).
Thanks again,
Ryan Satterfield
