Virtual Instrument Bundle Selection

So....
I've been doing a ton of MIDI composition recently
Using the stock VI stuff that comes with PT
Basically AIR xpand2, and also the Mini grand, etc...

I have gotten good enough and my songs are strong enough
That I feel ready to upgrade to a more serious VI bundle.

I want something that has all the basics, IE pianos, organs, synths, basses, pads, percussion, drums, mallets, strings, choirs, etc....

And I am looking for a significant upgrade in sonic realness from the Xpand...

So far I am just considering the EastWest bundle, their more affordable one (Goliath) and their flagship one (Complete Composers Collection).

Can you wizards please enlighten me as to the best course of action.
thanks

If it were me and i was starting out from scratch id get Komplete 8 (ultimate if you can).

It really does cover all bases. If you then embellish the collection with a few choice synths such as Omnisphere and Alchemy your really gonna have some stuff to be getting on with.

I mean i dont know what your budget is, and its normally the way to gather these things gradually and learn how to use them as you go. But if it were me that's prob the route I'd think of.

I do want a bundle because I use a lot of different sounds and I want them all to be good quality. I have done the gradual thing with processors but with instruments it just doesn't make sense to me.

Let's get some other opinions from people who have tried a lot of VIs and can point towards the best ones

Yeah for just starting out definitely get komplete. It will really have you covered. Then get omnisphere and stylus and trillian.

what they said, get Komplete8 or K8U if you can,it's amazing!
EW has decent samples but their proprietary Play engine is problematic for many users and systems.
Many users who started with EW years ago like myself regret EW 's move away from Kontakt driven libraries & have moved away from EW.
If your on a Mac most people will say Play does not run as well with Macs as with Windows based DAW's
I have Komplete8 Ultimate and it's unbelievable!!!
You should be able to find a great deal on K8 or K8U now.
You will have enough to keep you busy for quite a while. ;-)

Good luck.

komplete 8 ultimate.

Not everything is excellent, but some of it is superb, and much of it is pro quality. There is more software and sound included than you can reasonably explore in a year. More than worth the money (especially if you get it on sale).
