Vocal "beutifying/Fixing" PT10 or Melodyne?

Hi guys,

I'm using Reaper and was wondering what might be the best way to go for vocal editing and touch-up? I hear PT10 has a lot of things built in...voice altering, eq-ing, pitch correction...etc.

Would it be worth the expense or could I just add Melodyne to my system and use with Reaper and get just as good result?

no. PT doesnt have much more built in than Reaper. You'll be making a cross grade rather than upgrade from that perspective.

Cubase has a built-in vocal-editor. But Melodyne is probably the best there is.

This!!! I use Melodyne everyday and I can tell you nothing else compares. Moreover, Melodyne has greatly improved my editing workflow because I can do timing, pitch, and volume editing all in one pass. Just get it be done with it
