Protools 7.1: I can not see my new plugins.

I am using pro tools 7 M-powered on a Macbook Pro and I tried installing several plug-ins suchs as T-racks, Xpander, Sonic Synth 2. For some odd reason I can not see any of the plug ins when I try to choose them in the mix window. The plug-ins are definitely in the digidesign "plug-ins folder" and I can even see some the names when pro tools is loading but I can't see them at all. And the plug-ins are definitely available in Live lite, but not Pro tools.

Someone please help, do plug ins automatically show up in the inserts or do i have the manually scan or activate them. Thanks for your assistance.
