Will adding HDD and RME card change system ID?

Hi guys. I'm getting a new PC soon and will get Adobe software, Sibelius and some other stuff installed as soon as I get it. I wont actually be able to set it up as my studio PC until I move home next year, at which point I'll be adding Eastwest CCC (which comes on a harddrive) and an RME Multiface II with PCIe card.

I remember something I had done to an old computer changed the system ID and I had to reauthorize Toontrack software for a new computer, wasting one of my 4 total authorizations per purchase.

Will the HDD or RME change the system ID?? I don't want to void any software or waste a liscence. I know Adobe at least only works on 2 PCs..don't want to use both on this one PC! Trying to decide if I should buy Eastwest and RME and install them before installing anything else..even though I wont be using them for another year!

Thanks!

I believe the computer ID only changes with a new motherboard.

From my experience the computer ID can also change if you change the boot drive to a different hard drive.
But ultimately all of this depends on the authorization scheme the various companies utilize.

Changing Network settings from OFF to ON to add wifi was what caused Superior Drummer ( & ableton IIRC) to demand reauthorisation on my system...

Adobe products only allow 2 authorizations per product but allow you to deactivate devices to allow authorization on another device.

In my experience changing a hard drive can change the computer ID but depends on the security scheme.

Network devices are often inolved in the machines ID as each network device has its own unique MAC address.

i would not worry to much about the amount of authorizations ,in my own experiance you email the company tell them you have a new pc or have upgraded it and they renew your authorizations.

at the end of the day they have these things to try protect their software from pirates ,they know its a pain in the ass for their customers , but they have to do it to protect them selves , so the last thing they want to do is tell a customer he/she will have to buy another version of the same product just because they have bought a new pc.if they did the customer would just use a different product.
