one fader control surface automation

are there any good one fader controllers for automation in pro tools? I've read about the presonus faderport which looks good but apparently is not sound in the software side of things. Any other alternatives?

I've used a fader port for a few years, not really any major problems. Makes automation feel like it did in the large format console days. No more mouse! R

I have a FaderPort and like it a lot. However, it was a PITA to get it to work correctly. The problem was that no DAW would recognize it. Loading earlier firmware and using the current driver set fixed the issue and it now works very well. It's a nice bit of hardware, but I have been very surprised at how poor the support is for the FaderPort. It seems to be orphan hardware as far as Presonus is concerned.

Same here. Love the faderport. Wish they made an eight fader control surface.

i'm using windows 7 64 bit and pro tools 10. hopefully it will not give me any troubles. Can you only write volume with it? Can you automate send level e.g. If i have a delay aux track and wanted to pump up the delay volume on the vocal during the chorus.
