The dongle allows you to run only on one computer at a time. If you want 2 dongles with a 6.5 licence you'll have to buy 2 copies of 6.5.

Why on earth did you buy 6.5 rather than the cheaper upgrade from 5 to 6.5?

I found solution to drag my license to another dongle...

Edu versions count exactly like full version for upgrades....so at same price everybody pays.

Yes by copying your licence you can use C5 on one and 6.5 on the other machine....but not 6.5 on both with different dongles which was your original question.

You can plug in your dongle where ever youd like. However, you cant have the SAME license on two diff dongles running the same app for which you only paid for ONE license.

I think your question was answered already here. https://www.steinberg.net/forum/view...p?f=81&t=25363

If it were me I would keep the dongle you have authorized for C5 on the one machine then go to the other machine with the other dongle and try to authorize 6.5 on that one. Cant hurt

lol yea, having the same license on more than one dongle defeats the purpose of copy protection
