Melodyne Editor & Sounds strange behavior, chopped of

Hi there, i just got Melodyne with editor 2.0 and i did some test recordings with a hook. so far so good, sounded nice... then i started arranging some notes back and forth to copy the hook a couple of times and suddenly some notes start to be chopped of at the end or the beginning.
Like someone put a hard mute to the notes, i cant figure out the reason why as sometimes it changes when i move notes to a diffrent location... this is really annoying.
Ideas??

A lot of people don't like the sound of Melodyne because there are a lot of artifacts and glitches.

The truth is Melodyne gives you extraordinary editing power which means it's up to YOU to make it sound good or bad.

There are certain times when an edit hits the spot and makes the part much much better. For me this is most of the time.

There are other times when the thing you want to do just causes too much glitchy distortion or artifacts. In this case you either need to try something else or rerecord the source material.

Melodyne is a bit of a craps shoot, but there are ways to make it behave better. One of the main ways is recording in a very dry environment with almost no room sound. Add the verb in later. This will get you the best results in Melodyne.

I also tend to replace breaths and "S"es with the original source material. It takes a huge amount of time, but the results can be amazing.

As far as your specific situation, you just need to keep tweaking until it sounds right... or rerecord.

i think i get what you say, though the srtange thing is the exact same note will play at a certain point but when i copy paste it in melodyne and move to the right for e.g then suddenly this note is chopped of, not always but often...
i cant just figure out the reason why it sometimes does or not.
and i thought i wont need thebase material anymore once i bounced it to melodyne?

Nope. Why they would release such a buggy version? You just don't know how to use it yet. Learn how to use it
