Fruity Plugins/Instruments in Pro Tools via VST to RTAS adapter

Hi. I've been trying to get the Fruity Instruments and Plugins in Pro Tools (MP9) by re-wrapping them in RTAS with Fxpansions software. So far I've got them to show up in PT and generate tone for example in a synth, but the GUI is non-functional in all cases. I'm just wondering if anyone has gotten this to work or is using Fruity instruments in PT. Ideally I could rule out any possibility of this working before I give up.

Thanks

Any reason you don't simply rewire FL into PT?

Yes. Running the whole program via rewire requires considerably more DSP than having them up in PT as inserts.

It's unlikely included plugins within a daw will wrap into a different daw. You couldn't load them unwrapped into cubase even as vsts.

No mate, actually I've never chatted a moment with you in my life... but If you can get fruity instruments operational in Pro Tools i'll buy a couple of your songs in return.

Haha thanks, but like I said I don't think it's possible. Plugins supplied with a DAW aren't like 3rd party plugins that will run in any host that supports eg VST format. They are unique to that particular DAW. So cubase VSTis won't run in FL or anything else that might support VST format, and can't be wrapped to run in PT. Any 3rd party VST will run in both (and in theory is wrappable).

So I think your only option is Rewire. If the DSP hit is too much come mix time, just render as audio (it's a good idea to do this for recall purposes anyway).

PS I think you read my .sig only and replied, whilst missing the content of my post!

If it was only during the mix that'd be one thing but I'm having trouble mustering enough DSP to track!

That's not true.. I have used FL studio stock effect plugins in Ableton Live, they are VST plugins
