Talkback with OO2 Rack
Hey guys, I have the 002 Digi Rack and a Mackie HUI...the HUI has built in talkback but I dont know how to run it through protools. The HUI is connected to the HUI with a MIDI OUT and MIDI IN. Im not sure if MIDI cables can send the sound through but i cant find anything like that on settings. The HUI has an output 1/4" cable that could connect through the 002 rack..but the only problem with that is i'd have to create a new track every protools session just so they could hear me. Does anyone have any ideas?

MIDI doesnt pass audio signals. the talkback signal with come out through the monitor outs(3 sets) and the headphone out on the rear panel. You can connect a pair of headphones in the CR or connect one of the outputs to a headphone amp in the recording booth.
