Saffire Pro 40 and USB HD?

Since the Pro 40 will take up the FW that only leaves the USB slots open for external drives. Is that adequate for recording. As this is only a hobby over the years I've pretty much been using the internal drive.

Many, if not most, FW external drives will have dual ports on them for daisy-chaining.

Looking around it seemed like some people were having some issues when daisy chaining. I'm thinking I'll just pick up a hub if USB isn't adequate for recording drive.

I have my Saffire 40 daisy-chained, and have never had any problems.
