Screen Cast with Pro Tools 9

I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to do a screen cast using ProTools 9 on MacBook Pro simultaneously recording both internal mic on the laptop (for recording voice) and also capturing the ProTools audio internally? I tried to do it with Screenium, ScreenFlow but I ran into an issue that I can't capture external mic and internal audio from ProTools at the same time while recording a video tut.

Just select the mic input or Pro tools aggregate IO in IO Setup and set one track to record from the internal mic.
Then set the output of your other tracks to 'New track...' and create an ordinary stereo audio track (Not an Aux track). Set that track to record enable, press alt-k to enable monitor input if it's not active. the output of that track can go to your headphones.
Now when you record, all your tracks except the internal Mic will be recorded to that new audio track. If you want to process that bus you can create a master fader an point it to that bus.

Hope this helps. Cheers

If you want to record the audio in the screen capturer you can probably use soundflower to route the internal mic into pro tools and the output of pro tools to the input in the screen capturer.

I've been toying with Screenr, an online service that has a useful free tier and seems generally pretty cool for quick tutorials -- since you capture the video online, their servers and processors do the video rendering pretty quickly (the free tier has a 5 minute per vid limit, so that also keeps the turnaround on rendering down to thumb-twiddling durations).

A very nice feature (at least as it works out on my XP rig with Chrome as the browser) is that you can select an input from all your installed sound devices. So I can do a quick patter track from my desktop mic or I can use an input on my 'pro' interface (a MOTU 828mkII) and set up a mix of tracks that way (although on my rig, with my DAW's signal flow, I'd need to use a special routing plug or simply loop the output of my audio mix back into some unused inputs and capture it to the Screenr client that way.

The chorus is a little weak... I think it needs more lasers.
