I told you that cause when O copied/paste a kontakt track It was the same track so I had to create a new one to have two distinct tracks.

I am a Studio One convert. Once a die hard Logic user, very experienced in Cubase and Pro Tools, and whose first ever DAW was FL Studio for years. Studio One stole my heart. It can do everything I could do in any of those programs, but often times so much easier. Half the time I would think that it couldn't do something, and then I would realize I was looking way too deep, and the function I needed was just a simple button in the arrange window or a keystroke, without ever consulting a manual. Creativity in my mixes expanded due to it's intuitive workflow, and there is also an intangible warmth and punch to the audio engine in my opinion. Not saying Cubase isn't fully capable, but Studio One is by no means a slouch, and considering it's only in it's second iteration, I'm excited to see what the future holds for it. I'm on the bandwagon. |

The two applications will (imo, mmv) end up very much alike eventually... 5-7-10 years from now.
Studio One's main focus is on workflow and creativity and it's gaps are (comparatively speaking) in "power", more-so in this comparison, midi power. It lacks a lot of Cubase's midi power and requires some workarounds in that area for some.
Cubase's main focus has been on bigger features and it's gaps are (comparatively speaking) in "workflow", more-so in the UI methodologies in this comparison. It (to many) feels much less comfortable and interferes with creativity much more often.
They'll eventually kinda meet up in the middle, or at a similar place I think.
People who prefer one or the other currently seem to prefer one of those two things above overall, workflow or sheer midi power. They're not all that different audio-wise. In fact, a good argument could be made that with the exception of something like the Arranger Track, Studio One is likely already a fundamentally better audio daw than Cubase in many ways.
It improved on some things it has in common with (or copied from) Cubase, like "audio parts" and folder tracks, both are easily clear improvements over the Cubase implementations.
Midi? No contest. I don't think anything can fully compete with Cubase as a midi sequencer overall, as relates to the depth of it's midi functionality.

At least in terms of functionality.
Don't get me wrong, Protools is fantastic software and the defacto standard in the industry however it has just not kept up with the rest of the pack.

Sorry if I still didn't answer your question.I thought you asked how could you use multi output of kontakt and or vst's as default?

That saved setup will be 1st on the recent multi list in the kontakt file drop down menu.
Plus its good to save the multi anyway,I don't know if its a cubase issue or NI,but sometime loading a project kontakt will remain empty!
It's rare, but has happened from time to time.so saving multi is a good back up plan, just name it the song name.
Good luck!

with studio one i can create on the go. with cubase if your not a fully experienced producer or dont have two screens, or dont understand the techno language then your gunna be stuck. its bussing and track organisation is way off the mark. studio one for the win!

I'm wondering how many of those missing features on the list of disadvantages on the thread opening will be addressed in the S1 2.5 update such as midi improvements, drum editor. etc.?
