MOTU 828mk3 hybrid. Usb2 latency/performance?

Hi "slutz".
I have an RME Multiface II w/ HDSPe and it's stability is amazing. What I miss though is using my external eight channel mic pre rack with ADAT at 96kHz and have all eight channels. The MOTU 828mk3 Hybrid has two ADAT inputs and therefore I assume it can handle eight channels at 96kHz over the ADATs but I am concerned about the latency since I once owned the older 828mk2 USB2 and the latency was not good. I understand that it probably can't compete with RME's 32 samples latency but can I still expect serious low latency without errors and such by using the Usb2 connectivity?

Regards
