Digital performer busses limitation ?

Hi everybody !

I just want to know if someone use digital performer for music mixing, because i have some question about it.

First, the number of busses is limited to 24 for me, i think that' not normal, anybody know where i can change this max number of busses ?

And, another thing, does anybody know what the CPU bar (in the down right corner) monitors ? Because i am mixing a reggae song with 32 tracks, 6 inserts by tracks, and 7 sends. And the CPU is often overload, regardless of the buffer size.

So, i have some problems with this DAW and i just want to know if some people have the same, and if they could resolve it.

THX !!

My computer config : MACPRO 2 x 2,8 GHz Quad-core intel Xeon + 4GB RAM and DIGITAL PERFORMER 7.24

Sorry, i have'nt seen the studio config pop up, and i can choose the number of bus there.

But, the question of CPU usage is not resolve.

Th CPU bar indicators in digital performer don't monitor the same thing that the osx CPU monitor. So, what does it show ?

1st you need more RAM. 4 gig is not enough IMO.
Next:
Setup-ConfigureAudioSystem-ConfigureStudio settings.
These are the most basic questions all covered in the getting started guide and in the manual ,you should take some time to read up.
The CPU meter is not very accurate I use activity monitor.
Good luck

what interface are you using? I have found the motu pci interfaces extremely stable.

I have a Motu 828 MK II. And another strange thing is that i don't understand how the delay compensation works. In fact, when you send a track into a bus for parallel compression, the bus produces delay. So how can you do a parallel compression ?
