Thanks Hohman!!!

Ask and ye shall receive! Thanks so much. I may get spoiled and greedy now.... but do you by any chance have presets for GTS-39? I have what Quinto has on the website, but they are all individual fxb files and for some reason don't work at all for me. I don't NEED presets for my plugins, I am very comfortable with jumping in head first since I have known hardware for years, but it is fun and informative to see quickly how others are using the plugins I use. So.... what else do you have (or can you make ) for PC Sknote plugins.....?

Hohman, your skins are bloody fantastic. Honestly, I love Quintos plugs, but the aesthetic is not my fave. You have made what is a treat to the ears also a treat to the eyes. I'm going to have to take the plunge and install these tonight.

Hey guys, I was able to alter the x64 DLLs skin, just not the knobs using resource hacker... that's still a nice improvement.

I have not made more presets for now, just a few that are very personal and difficult to share ... I can not make bank for GTS39, only individual files works in the first slot, the other 49 slots are not working.

Thanks for what you have made then! Of all of the Sknote plugins, I shouldn't even need any presets for the GTS-39, it IS a very simple (but awesome) plugin. Thanks Hohman! On a side-note, none of the GTS-39 presets from Quintos website work for me, I don't know why.

Hi! I'm not following the thread daily, what is the question?

I'd really like to make a lot of presets and some more examples, but I'm preferring to work on real life projects which can show how we use these tools.

This is the last project I've been working on (mix and master).
It is all StripBus, Roundtone, GTS-39, ThreeD (still beta), Verbtone and impulse responses:

Totally kidding. Quinto doesn't need to give us presets, he already makes awesome plugins that are very simple to use. It's up to US to make presets and spread them around, don't you think?

Quinto like my skins, but it has other preferred shares.
It improves stability and adds new features to update existing plugins and developed new products.
To do so, Quinto would like to know how you use your plugins ...

Would you like us to list how we use them ?

Yes, made a simple list.

You already wrote:
"A) as a vocal de-esser (by decreasing sustain on the right high frequencies),
B) making snare and kick samples more prominent in my mix by adjusting the attack (like the SPL unit).
C) As a way to make synth basses and leads more punchy."

Add presets for A, B, C with Name: de-esser, long kik, snare attack, punch bass, ...
If you are not sure of correct use plugins, do not hesitate to publish your presets. We may correct errors and discover new possibilities.

IMO, despite the fact that some plugins may be straightforward, all the varied uses may not be. Having presets does increase the value of the plugin substantially for me.

Both are right but we do not need to be a great Proffessional to a small list to use plugins and creating presets.
I would like a community of users, people who share. People to help me continue the work I started with plugins SKnote.
We can create some things new and different with its original plugins.

- tame bright attacks like hihat hits

- extract room sound from recordings
- manage distance by modeling dynamics on a frequency base
- remove reverb
- tame resonances
- give body by increasing main mids sustain
- tame acoustic guitar attacks (strumming clicks on strings)
- emulate loudness by equalising just attacks, with body untouched, in a level-independent way
- mix two tracks by increasing atk and decreasing sustain on first, viceversa on second

I also want to try:

- enhancing bass attacks in a mix (frequency targeted)
- taming highs in a mix
- enhancing ambience in a mix
...
