Can an Akai MPK88 edit a Matrix 1000?

I have this amazing Akai MPK88 controller... and this amazing Matrix 1000. But I'm clueless when it comes to sysex. It would seem that I could make a fader control the filter cutoff no? I have this list of Matrix 1000 sysex number thingies that look like this:

Byte Parameter # Bits Description
----- --------- ------ -----------

0-7 6 each Patch name. Each character is
represented by the lower 6 bits of
it's ASCII representation.

8 48 2 Keyboard mode 0=Reassign
1=Rotate
2=Unison
3=Reassign w/Rob

9 00 6 DCO 1 Initial Frequency
LSB=1 Semitone

10 05 6 DCO 1 Initial Wavwshape
0=Sawtooth
31=Triangle

And the very easy to use Vyzex app. I don't see anywhere in the MPK where I can assign the byte, parameter and bits.

Any clues?!?

I'm really surprised there isn't a modern editor for Mac that can control a Matrix 1000. The closest thing is the a janky Logic environment. It would be really great to be able to control it with the MPK. Am I really alone on this?

I have Windows 7 on a Parralells partition, but it says that this version of this software is not compatible with this version of Windows.

That's weird. It does say Win 7 32 and 64 bit.

Ok, I just installed the demo on my laptop which is Win 7 32 bit. It turns out it's an .exe file hiding in C/Programs/OB6000. Apart from Avast virus scanner scanning it and finding no threat, it opened fine here. Are you on Win 7 64 bit?

OH EM GEE

I just found an iPad app called Midi Touch that has a Matrix 1000 template. I hooked it up through the OSX Network Midi and I'm in Oberheim heaven!!!!

Every parameter is layer out and responds pretty quickly! Sometimes a note sticks, but for creating patches this is it!!!!
