It's a crime Apple's still selling a Mac Pro with a discontinued CPU.

Well, they can't upgrade the Mac Pro with a chip it doesn't have yet (thank, Intel for dragging their ass on that one!), but I think the Facebook page helps send a message to Apple that the pro community would appreciate some sort of communication on this issue.

2144 "likes" so far. A potential $5 to $6 million in sales right there alone?

...This will definitely tell Apple to stop making Mac Pro´s... is it possible to fake the numbers... add 3 zeros and they may consider making mac pro´s again.

Utterly useless. This has been going on for a while, most recently here. But at least it's not hurting anyone....

The current 12 core/6 core Mac Pro's are more than powerful enough to do anything you need to get done in the native world. There will be tons of headroom left. Some people are more in love with the idea of a new Mac Pro and reading new specs than the practical application of what you can do with the current model.

Thunderbolt is not a big deal if you have your PCIe slots already on the current Mac Pro. Plus a magma PCIe expander is cheaper than jumping into thunderbolt if you need more PCIe slots.

My car can get from point A to point B too, but I still would like a new one after a couple years. To each his own. I want to buy a new MP.

Nobody wants to spend >$2000 on a computer with a discontinued CPU.

Go write a good song. You can do that on a 7 year old Core 2. Or some paper. or an old guitar.

I see your point and agree to be honest. However, the main issue with the current line up of Mac Pro's is that it's old and the processors will soon enough be discontiued but the prices remain the same.

This is certainly my grumble anyway with purchasing one of the current line ups. If Apple don't release a new Mac Pro, I'll be moving over to a top of the range PC built for a DAW which will cost a lot less than the current top of the range Mac Pro and give similar performance if not better with Pro Tools.

I'm betting on a whole new line up of Macs at WWDC. MP and MBP especially.

Oh really? Try running just a couple instances of Nebula, FG-X, Ozone 5, DCAM Synthsquad (with oversampling), etc... and you'll run out of headroom real quick! CPUs still have a loooong way to go to catch up with modern software.
