If you were to start over on a Macbook Pro, would you go PT?

I haven't been doing much recording on my own lately. I have replaced my G5 with a new MacBook Pro and before I upgrade my 002R to PT10 I figure I would ask, would you? If not, what would you do?

I would, but to be clear, LEARNING new software is one of my least favorite things in the world.

Unless you really hate the workflow, the 'Devil You Know' principle applies, IMO.

Aside from all that, I think PT is a really powerful program and all the compatibility factors of its popularity are worth considering as well.

I did the opposite. I switched from a PC tower to a MacBook Pro, and I switched away from PT. I still use PT occasionally and its less-than-stellar CPU performance makes the MBP fans scream. Studio One on the other hand, does not rev up my fans like that.
