Recommend a VST Filter?

A switch from Cubase SX has meant I've lost Tonic: one of my fav. go-to filters.

I tried to scan KVR for a highly-rated "fans' choice' filter plug, but I find the search function on that site IMPOSSIBLE. Way too many options. Brainfried.

Who's got a good filter plug to recommend? Not too expensive. $50ish Cheers.

Definitely, if you're in a hurry get whatever is out there, fabfilter volcano, lfo tool.. but if you're not, you should wait for the Drop

Resonance, drive, oscillation...

Even if they occasionally effect the same outcome, the two have different purposes.

I love FXPansion Etch from the demo, haven't got any spare cash tho.

LFOTool I do have and the new version with all the new filter types is ace.

It gets no better than Satson that's the way to go.

If you want "musical" filters, nothing beats Satson's filters.

If you want fx filters there are a lot of free options to consider:
Ohm Force :: les cuisines du Ohm Studio
de la Mancha
Blechturmstudios - LFO Filter V2
Free SynthEdit VST Effects plugins
Flexfilterbank2 - analog-Style Filterbank VST Plugin
Ect...

Almost free:

I never tried them until filterfreak 1 and 2. What else is out there and what sets them apart?

Looks cool, but there's no automation right?

Well I would recommend it as a good VST Filter. For automation you may need to start another thread.

+1000

For the time being do look at :

Sonalksis
Sonimus Satson (Not strictly filter but serves the purpose very nicely for the price).

Quadfrohmage is good too.
