Opening higher bit rate sessions in PT8 LE

PT should be able to down-sample them, although if it can't/won't do that it wouldn't surprise me. You could convert it in another DAW, like Reaper.

i think you can create a new session at 44.1, go to import session data, select the session in question and select the sample rate conversion option in the import session data window.
